Dear Friend in Spirit,



Enclosed is a flier about an event (and a concept) that I hope

you can get excited about.  I am sending this to you because I

found your name connected with others involved in spiritual

healing of some sort, whether it be prayer, meditation, reiki, or

other light-work.  If it does not strike a chord with you, I ask

that you pass it on to someone for whom it might be appropriate. 



My educational background was the rather materialistic realm of

mechanical engineering and physics, but for the past 25 years my

studies and growth experiences have been much more connected with

the spiritual realm and its relationship to the physical.  It has

become clear to me, having accepted as true that there is a

non-physical connection among people (and all life), that I and

we are "crazy" not to put these connections to more beneficial

use in our world. 



This event is all about the power of continuous group spiritual

connection, and the loving intention it can generate.  The power

of intention is maintained by allowing participants to come and

go while keeping intact the spiritual connection between the

circle, the world, and whatever God/Goddess, Creator, deities,

guides, The Force, All-That-Is, or other aspect of the spiritual

realm that each person is comfortable working with. 



Individual growth is essential, but I believe that it is also

possible to operate and grow in some manner as a group in the

spiritual realm.  And I believe humanity is now starting to take

big steps in this direction.  This event is an example of how

this could occur, without the walls of bricks and doctrine that

so often keep us divided despite our knowledge of our underlying

spiritual connection.  Thus, this is the first of what I hope and

expect will be many similar events in the Ann Arbor area over the

coming months and years (maybe you or your group would even like

to organize one). 



The basic idea is for people to sign up (or at least show up) for

30- or 60-minute chunks of time to cover all 24 hours.  Signing

up would commit you to be present in meditation, silent prayer,

reiki, etc. focused on generating a healing/forgiving/supportive

space around the world for all the spiritual, emotional,

cultural, and political distress, helping to nurture the

emergence of a world of abundance, joy, creativity, harmony, and

love. There will be a globe and just a single candle (due to fire

concerns), plus any other appropriate items you wish to bring,

such as a favorite crystal.  There will be short opening and

closing ceremonies, and light refreshments will be available in

the outer room.
