Date: Sat, 20 May 2000 15:50:59 -0400 Green Ballot Access - Updated Petitioning Events List 5/16/00 HELP! We have more events than petitioners! And only 2 months left! OK, I know I SAID this would be my last event update-oops! We are hopefully going to turn this over to Juscha's new interactive calendar. If you are interested in volunteering to petition (we need you!), but need help getting started, you can be assigned to a team leader. Please call one of the following numbers. If you want to attend one of these events, but are not yet comfortable petitioning, please hand out Green Party flyers. We have hand outs and we're trying hard to get the word out! TEAM LEADERS NEEDED! If you are an experienced petitioner and could organize a group of new volunteers for an event, in Detroit area please call Tom & Sue at 248-542-8090 or Martin at 313-393-9329. (You will win "Trailblazer" points towards a grand prize, and receive a free "Ness for Senate" Trailblazer T-shirt.) For any area of the state, please call Juscha at 734-665-2186 or email juscha@worldspy.net. Please call ahead to go to these events (most numbers are provided) because some of the information is incomplete. If you can gather more information on these events than I have here, please let us know. I don't know that all these events will be well attended. Use your own discretion. These are just suggestions. Keep the names, phones, addresses, emails, faxes, etc. of organizations for our Green activist database, or give us the flyer. Thanks. We still hope to do an organization mailing to recruit new volunteers. Juscha is willing to go to their meetings and speak to them about the Nader campaign's and the Green petition drive. Let her know if you have contacts, or better yet, set up the meeting. =========================================== Recurring Events =========================================== Recurring Detroit Petition Opportunities: ------------------------------------------ The Detroit Film Theater at the Detroit Institute of Arts has plays every Friday through Monday until at least May 15.
