Film capacitors in China: supplier portfolios from EMI suppression to DC-link support
For engineers sourcing capacitors for a power supply, inverter or grid converter, China's film-capacitor industry spans very different product categories. A small X2 capacitor at the AC input and a large DC-link assembly beside a power module share a dielectric family, but their electrical duties and mechanical interfaces differ considerably.
This third installment in our capacitor series covers 23 manufacturers or corporate groups, including standard components, automotive assemblies, high-reliability devices and grid capacitors. The review draws mainly on financial reports, manufacturer application material and engineering disclosures published in 2026.
Sixteen entries have disclosed revenue or output value with an identifiable reporting period and scope; seven provide additional product or engineering examples. Company revenue, subsidiary revenue, film-capacitor revenue and output value are kept separate. The figures describe business scale within those scopes and should not be read as a ranking of film-capacitor sales.

Figure 1. Six film-capacitor duties and the operating conditions relevant to each.
1. Standard components and EMI suppression offer a broad sourcing base
X-class capacitors connected across supply lines suppress differential-mode interference. Selection depends on the safety class, AC voltage rating, temperature and humidity, together with the complete equipment design. Similar packages can contain different films, metallization patterns and encapsulation systems.
Faratronic supplies PCB, AC and power-electronics film capacitors. Its 2025 company revenue was approximately RMB 5.327 billion. Its portfolio gives power-supply, appliance and industrial-equipment developers several component categories to examine within one supplier system.
Hongfa Wufeng, part of the Hongfa relay group, adds another supplier route. Hongfa's 2026 interim report describes film-capacitor applications in appliances, new energy, power electronics and vehicles. A guarantee announcement published in 2026 gives Zhejiang Hongfa Wufeng's 2025 revenue as approximately RMB 195 million, specifically at subsidiary level.
Xinyuan is another manufacturer to include. Sunstone Development's 2025 annual report identifies film capacitors among its principal businesses, covering appliances, lighting, photovoltaics and vehicles. Foshan Xinyuan Electronic's own revenue was approximately RMB 151 million.
For identifiable product families, Songtian's MPX X2 and MPK X1 series appeared in manufacturer material published in April 2026, which discussed automotive interference suppression. Engineers can use these series as catalog entry points, then check the voltage, capacitance, approvals and environmental conditions for the selected part.
Weidi Industrial described custom film capacitors for photovoltaics, wind power and new-energy vehicles in June 2026. Its application material discusses polypropylene film, self-healing construction and high-frequency inverter duties. This establishes the disclosed product direction; part-specific ratings and approvals belong in the individual specification review.

Figure 2. Sixteen businesses with disclosed scale figures. Reporting periods and company, group, subsidiary, film-business and output-value scopes are identified separately.
2. DC-link products increasingly include the connection structure
On an inverter's DC bus, capacitors handle ripple and buffer transient energy. At higher power, ripple current, temperature rise and connection-loop inductance become essential comparison points. The capacitor elements, busbars, mounting envelope and cooling conditions need to be considered together.
EAGTOP's public filing from June 2026 illustrates this assembly approach. Its automotive film capacitors include capacitor elements, busbars, insulation, potting compound and a housing, principally for inverter DC-link circuits. The filing describes low-inductance laminated busbars, element traceability and aluminum busbar applications, with production or nominated-project experience across battery-electric, plug-in hybrid and range-extended vehicles. Its 2025 company revenue was approximately RMB 1.821 billion, including inductors, busbars and resistors as well as capacitors.

Figure 3. Original Chinese excerpt from EAGTOP's June 2026 filing. The illustration labels the insulation, housing, capacitor busbar and capacitor elements. The accompanying source text describes inverter DC-link use, rapid charge/discharge and switching-transient protection for IGBTs or SiC MOSFETs.
Jianghai reports film-capacitor revenue separately. In the first half of 2026 it reached approximately RMB 311 million, up 33.56% year on year. Disclosed cooperation directions include dedicated film-capacitor modules for electric vehicles. Its broader capacitor platform provides several dielectric options, while module interconnection and thermal design still depend on the equipment requirements.
Ningbo Xirong emphasizes customization. Wangzi New Material's 2026 interim report lists automotive, photovoltaic, wind, grid and rail applications, together with development, prototyping, performance testing and delivery services. Xirong's subsidiary revenue was approximately RMB 305 million for the half year. For large assemblies, dimensions, terminal placement and waveforms help define the product itself.
Aihua Group is expanding its film business. Its 2026 interim report describes integration of Aiyuanda and Aihua New Power following the latter's equity acquisition. Automotive customer introduction was progressing, and a custom automotive film-capacitor line was ramping capacity. Aihua New Power Capacitor (Suzhou) reported approximately RMB 116 million in first-half revenue, a scope closer to this business than total group sales.
Changzhou Changjie (CJE), within the Kaiqijia group, adds a specialist manufacturing route. Kaiqijia's 2026 interim report gives first-half film-capacitor product revenue of approximately RMB 108 million. Changjie's total subsidiary revenue was approximately RMB 121 million over the same period. The report also discusses automotive DC-link development, sample qualification and customer introduction. These two revenue figures retain their distinct scopes.
Gree Xinyuan, a wholly owned Gree subsidiary, manufactures aluminum electrolytic capacitors, metallized film capacitors and IPM power modules. Gree's 2026 interim report describes applications in appliances, new-energy vehicles, photovoltaic storage and industrial control, alongside progress in film materials. This review includes the product direction; separate current-period subsidiary revenue was not verified.
At higher capacitor voltage ratings, CRE offers a specific example. In June 2026 the manufacturer disclosed that a 3.6 mF / 4 kV DC-support capacitor had entered mass production, with the first shipment leaving its Wuxi factory for a flexible HVDC project. The 4 kV figure is the capacitor rating, distinct from the project's system voltage.
3. Resonant, snubber and pulse products follow different waveforms
Resonant capacitors exchange energy within a circuit; snubber capacitors handle switching transients; pulse-storage capacitors support short-duration discharge. Continuous high-frequency operation requires attention to losses and heating, switching transients to peaks and loop parameters, and pulse discharge to energy per event and repetition rate.
Songtian's April 2026 material describes the CBB82B / MMKP82 double-sided metallized polypropylene resonant family for LLC/LCC supplies, inverters and lighting circuits. CRE's August 2026 product introduction presents resonant, IGBT/GTO snubber, DC-link and AC-filter categories.
Shunmeilai's July 2026 application article separates MKP-LL DC-bus support from MKPH-S / MKPH-LS local IGBT snubber duties. Establishing the actual circuit location first makes pulse capability, current and thermal comparisons more useful.
High-reliability and pulse applications also bring Hongming Electronics, Hongda Electronics and Zhenhua Science & Technology into scope.
Hongming's 2025 annual report describes work on organic-film and composite-dielectric capacitors, including low-inductance energy storage, pulse devices and surface-mount organic-film products. Its high-energy pulse project includes metallized film capacitors. The disclosed stage for these projects was small-batch trial production.
Hongda's 2025 annual report includes film capacitors in its high-reliability component and supporting-solution business. Its group includes Hunan Modian Rongna Electronics. Zhenhua's report for the same year states that development of a high-energy-density film capacitor had been completed. These disclosures broaden the supplier picture without establishing an identical qualification or delivery stage for every product.
The three companies reported 2025 total revenue of approximately RMB 2.617 billion, RMB 1.887 billion and RMB 5.755 billion respectively. Each figure includes businesses beyond film capacitors and is identified accordingly in Figure 2.
4. AC duties extend the review from motors to the power grid
Appliances, motors and power-quality equipment require capacitors for sustained AC operation. Temperature rise, lifetime and protection arrangements influence the choice, while mounting and safety requirements shape the package.
Shengye Electric's 2026 interim report lists explosion-proof types, large high-voltage rectangular DC-support capacitors, modular DC-support products and high-frequency AC-filter capacitors. Its first-half film-capacitor business revenue was approximately RMB 283 million.
Grid applications add Guilin Power Capacitor, XD Xirong, Shanghai Sieyuan Power Capacitor and Sun.King. These products involve high-voltage insulation, series/parallel configurations, protection and site delivery, requiring a different comparison framework from PCB safety components.
Guilin Power Capacitor reported approximately RMB 829 million in 2025 subsidiary revenue. Baiyun Electric's annual report, published in 2026, lists AAM AC-filter, BAM shunt, ZZMJ DC-support and BKMJ self-healing low-voltage shunt series. All-film and metallized-film constructions cover different routes across grid filtering, reactive-power compensation and flexible HVDC valve equipment.
XD Xirong has a recent field example. In May 2026 China Electrical Equipment Group disclosed grid operation of an AAM6.26-560.3-1W oil-impregnated AC-filter capacitor using domestically produced polypropylene film at the Funing converter station of the Yongren-Funing DC project. XD Xirong manufactured six of the twelve replacement capacitors. The project's ±500 kV system rating is separate from the component designation.
Shanghai Sieyuan Power Capacitor supplies capacitors and complete assemblies. Its social responsibility report, issued in February 2026, describes operation in AC/DC transmission systems and 2025 deliveries for projects including Shaanbei-Anhui UHV. Separate current-period subsidiary revenue was not verified here, so it is included as an engineering example.
Sun.King covers power capacitors and power-electronics capacitors. Wuxi Sun.King addresses power capacitors, while group company Hairong develops dry DC-support capacitors for flexible converter valves. Manufacturer material from July 2026 discusses this route and batch application in the Gansu-Zhejiang transmission project. Sun.King's approximately RMB 2.255 billion in 2025 group revenue also includes power semiconductors and busbars.
Tongfeng Electronics manufactures both capacitors and film materials. Its 2026 interim report states that a upgraded capacitor-film line entered production in February and had operated continuously. First-half company revenue was approximately RMB 651 million.
Saifu Electronics combines metallized film and finished capacitors. A Tongguan District report published in March 2026 gives its 2025 output value as approximately RMB 325 million, and describes flexible AC/DC capacitor manufacturing and R&D for flexible HVDC capacitors and related materials. Output value remains distinct from revenue.
Faratronic's 2025 ESG report, published in March 2026, states that an entirely domestically sourced dry DC capacitor passed new-product technical appraisal in 2025. It also describes research on high-temperature film materials, stable batch manufacturing and online quality inspection.

Figure 4. Original Chinese excerpt from Faratronic's 2025 ESG report, published in March 2026. The table lists work on high-temperature film with China Electric Power Research Institute, stable batch development of dry capacitors with State Grid, online inspection with Xiamen University, and motor-controller integration with CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Huaqiao University and Shanghai University of Engineering Science.

Figure 5. Seven additional suppliers and their disclosed product or engineering stages. Separate current-period revenue was not verified for these entries.
This review provides several entry points for sourcing: standard and safety components for appliances and supplies; DC-link, resonant and snubber devices for drives and renewable-energy inverters; and grid assemblies, high-reliability products and pulse capacitors for specialized equipment.
The 23 entries form a documented, expandable supplier index. Some specialist private manufacturers publish substantial technical material but limited financial information. For a usable project shortlist, define the circuit duty first, then compare losses, temperature rise, connection structure and lifetime under the same operating conditions. Batch traceability and delivery records complete that assessment.
